Painting Tauregs?
« on: 24 May 2013, 09:29:48 PM »
All,
I am painting up some Blue Moon Arabs for a friend, and he has asked that they be painted as Taureg.  I picture Taureg in various dark blues, but I am having trouble finding any good images on the net of the classic colonial era dress.  What is the general consensus for the proper colors to use in painting Taureg?  PLease use general color terms, not manufacturer specific names.

Thought they also wore black and white veils depending on which tribe they belonged? just read it a cross-cultural management college coursebook, nice to know for wargaming purposes  :D

The Tuareg were managing the Indigo trade from western subsaharan Africa up to the Mediterranen - all shades of Indigo - the pigment, not the colour, for the clothing, even the skin used to be blued
other colours are the natural hair of sheep - off white, brown and black
