Anybody make Mexican army/police for the Old West

I don't often seek out any Mexican miniatures --- does anyone do a late 1800's Mexican line which would be suitable to represent small roving patrols of Mexican military (in the few instances where they patrolled the border trying to stem unlawful cowboys from coming into Mexico etc.).

Any ideas?

Old Glory do some Rurales in their Pershing/Pancho Villa range that would fit the bill.

To be honest any troop types in peaked cap would do, painted in a light khaki drill, although some pre-revolutionary troops still wore the old blue style uniforms especially in places like the Yucatan. I would check out Foundry's Maxilmilian expedition range and Copplestones chinese from the Back of beyond range would make great Federales, in fact i was looking at getting some for a fictitious central American game but eventually got swayed by other projects.

How far back in  time are you thinking?

Earlier then the Rurales were the Presidials and even earlier were Soldados de Cuera [1791 - 1804 in this link] (http://www.sbthp.org/soldados/StBarbara/Uniforms.htm) (see also http://www.sbthp.org/soldados/StBarbara/Soldados.htm and http://www.knxu.com/~HDC/military_soldados.html)
 and the "flying troops" or tropa ligera (see http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/24649894?versionId=29762411) that, depending on period might be patrolling or responding to raids.

Nah, Mexican police from perhaps 1880-1900...later American Old West.  Nothing too old, and definitely not pre-Civil War.  It's just a fringe element I've debated building/painting to add some scenario options to my games.

It's something I and a mate were looking for as we wanted to build a game about Butch and Sundance's break out finale! 

Would be good to see them get some love.
