ACW figure help

My dad has expressed interest in some ACW figures for Father's day, he wants them to go with a model electric train set he has.   I guess the train is HO scale.   I am not too familiar with ACW gaming figures.  He wants 'privates in marching order' and an NCO to go with them, not a lot of figures, maybe 20 or so total.  Maybe a limbered arty piece with caisson too.   Union troops preferably.

I know HO is about 1:87, but he mentioned 1:76 could work.

Metal or plastic are good.   

Any suggestions on what figures I can get, and where I can get them (will have to be ordered on line).

Anyone know of a painting service that could get these and knock them out by Father's Day (or not too long after)?
