It would take me two months to turn out something like this. I am very impressed with the way you do the aging on your metals. I'm very weak in this area and desperately need a good tutorial. Do you have one or do you know where I could find a good one for a beginner like myself?
The metal is (by far) the easiest part.
I started with a black undercoat.
Overbrush Boltgun Metal (or well, the Vallejo equivalent). Overbrushing is similar to drybrushing, but there's a little more paint on the brush.
Drybrush Mithril Metal rather heavily.
Wash all of the metal parts with Devlan Mud or similar.
Wash recesses and chainmail with Badab Black. No need to be tidy about it.
Drybrush Boltgun Metal again, rather lightly.
Drybrush Mithril Metal again, lightly.
Touch up with thinned Devlan Mud here and there to get brownish stains.
If I want really rough metal, I do a layer of Tin Bitz before I do the first Boltgun round.
