Resin
« on: 17 July 2013, 08:02:15 PM »
Hello, just bought these.......  http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=120934049940   ....... via e-bay. Nice boots to for a number of uses, specifically for my fantasy and Vietnam projects. The boots are resin and i do not have much experience painting and convertng resin. Any pointers or advice will be much appreciated. Cheers

The best advice I can give you is to wash them in semi warm water and dish-soap to get rid of the mold release.

The best guide I have ever seen is the one from Forgeworld  :o  You can download the PDF from http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/R/resintips.pdf

Though set up for their resin / glue etc it has great advice for handling the darn stuff.  Not sure about the respirator advice - I would wear one at all times if filling or sanding resin...
