Show in Bristol
« on: August 01, 2013, 05:28:05 PM »
In a few days I will be attending a show that is new to me.

It is not a conventional wargames show either....

It will I suspect be quite hard to keep from buying stuff too given all the goodies that will be there, here it is:

Thornbury Leisure centre holds quite a lot of model shows, and other crafts stuff. In all the years I lived just down the road I never once got to one, and now I'm on the other side of the country they go and host a wargames-related show! Typical!

Managed to get down to the show for a couple of hours and it was well worth it and for those that missed it heres a couple of phots -

The guy who scratch built the Mars stuff in the first pic had done an amazing job of scratch building the inside of an R2 unit - but I forgot to photograph it  :?

... and an "Empire of the Dead" game ...

... also, thaks to the guys at Great Escape Games for the tutorial on playing "Dead Mans Hand" - looking forward to playing the game over the Bank Holiday weekend.

I love having the cross-over between wargaming and modelling because we wargamers can steal plenty of ideas!
