I'm sorry I hav'nt a Clue
« on: 05 October 2013, 09:40:15 AM »
.. any more ... because I have pillaged some of the figures inside for Pulp Alley

Colonel Mustard (in full fig)

and of course Professor Plum

Got a game this week so I am painting to fill a few holes - going to play Hidalgo Fire and start the campaign (could take a looooong time)

These are going to join some of my other models for the starting leagues (still got one more to paint)

...and I will post the Rosters later (and hopefully an AAR at the end of the week)

Been a while since I have played PA so looking forward to it  :)
No dear, they are not toys, they are models

Those are really rather good.
Do they scale up well alongside, say, Artizan's Thrilling Tales 28s?

They are fantastic, very nicely done.  I take it they are plastic pieces from the game set?

thanks

here is a group shot with Copplestone, and Artizan at the back.  Plum is just a teensy bit bulkier as you can see but on the table nobody will notice.

The Cluedo figures are the plastic set from the UK game and I think Copplestone did these too.

They are rather nice sculpts (but the detail is a little soft)

Very nice work, looking forward to your game report. I'll have to dig out my set of Cluedo now!

Excellent work!  :-*

Looks like they mix in quite well with your other miniatures.

I'd read somewhere that Copplestone sculpted some figures for Clue. Are going to get to see the other models?

Always excited to see what you come up with for your Pulp Alley AAR's.  ;)

I am absolutely loving those figures.

Thanks for the heads up, those look great! Have a look on ebay, I just found this guy selling the figures from all the different editions individually: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLUEDO-characters-spare-playing-piece-various-styles-available-/251193287031?pt=UK_Toys_Games_Games&var=550199871649&hash=item3a7c496177

From the style, it looks like Copplestone may have been involved in the last edition that had metal figures...the style seems to match, though I can't say what the size of them is from the photos.

Copplestone did indeed sculpt the metal figs from one of the Cluedo editions (I have them). They look spectacular, and would naturally fit in well with any pulp scenarios.

Someone here posted a thread on them a while ago (I forget who exactly) who had painted them to an extremely high standard.
