Here is a bonus picture of the cat helping at an earlier stage. Just not very much...

Your owner inspecting your work, you mean?

Not currently owned by a cat myself, but would like to be...

I'm really enjoying seeing this come together, it's always amazing how that first coat of primer locks it all together visually, isn't it?

That first undercoat really helped.

My main problem is how to hold the ship whilst I am painting it, it's such a huge lump...
So much to do, so little time...

After several days of frantic painting and sail making, the model was finished enough to play a game at the weekend. Just.

First picture shows all three of my ships about to engage in some salty action.

Still have some work to do and two more sails to make.

Also not happy with the rigging as I did it in a rush right before I had to go to tha game...

I will get the final bits finished off and make one more post with the completed model.

Thanks for the comments over the last few months, I started this back in June and have not done much else hobby wise...

She looks beautiful in full flight. With a big bottom and a little "excess" across the middle. Those sailor scrums have left the rigging soft, she is loosing wind from her sails with a setup like that. Give em a flogging and tell them to set it right. ;)

I am hugely impressed you managed to bring it all together by the deadline, and her details show her true colours as a man of war of the Empire.

Cheers
Matt

Great work.  :)

How did she perform on her maiden voyage?
