dphipps - i like the how the initiative system works as nobody has to wait for the other player to finish - *i* get distracted/bored waiting and then it takes more time when it is my turn to reconsider my actions.  even if the initiative/activation gets focused on one player, i still have to be ready in case it doesn't and to be ready for reactions - dodge/shoot back/fight/play perils.  nobody is ever having a 'down time'.  truly a great system so thanks.

I second everyone´s opinion that PULP ALLEY can be learned, grasped and used by young gamers quite easily.

AND as David frequently points out there is a FREE starting ruleset, if you want to check the basic mechanics to see if it's for you:

The free rules aren't complete, but once you read them, I'm sure you'll want the "Complete" set. And USD$10.00 is a VERY reasonable price for such excellent set of rules.

Hope that helps.

Sadly the pdf won't open once I download it - anyone know of another copy? Indeed if anyone has one and can email me that would be marvellous - stephen.hart@edenchanges.com

And yes I mean the free short version - I'm NOT looking for a pirated copy!

i looked at the free version and i couldn't wait to order my copy.  christmas? who can wait that long!  surely a gift for guy fawkes day is in order.

while i had to wait for payday to order my figs, my kids and i used lego figs/terrain - totally enjoyable.  highlight was getting stuck in tar pit and took off the legs - very dramatic looking scene.

What a sensational idea! I'm still painting leagues and amassing terrain but we could do some lego pulp strait way. Especially since my PA cards arrived in the mail yesterday - thanks Dave! They look great!Great to hear everyone's thoughts about kids and Pulp Alley - mine are champing at the bit to have a game.
