The pride of Purgatory!
« on: 22 January 2014, 03:39:16 PM »
All,
I managed to do a corner building, and I am pleased with the results, even thought it is not up to the standards of some of the scracth built models I've seen here.  Still, not bad for two days from start to finish I think.

That looks fantastic. I'd be dead pleased with that. Two days? Mine took me months to build (coffee stirrers started annoying the hell out of me so I stopped building it). Is the interior playable?

Yep, the interior is entirely playable.  Nothing in it at present though. All of my buildings are a sort of modified "Colonel O'Truth" method, foam board shell with the front face covered over in hand lined balsa.  The corner building is the only one that has three sides covered in balsa.  I figure I am generally the only one playing, as most of my gaming is solo.  So as long as I am happy, that works for me.

Constable,
Thanks for the kind words. In all fairness, I am retired.  My time is pretty much my own, and I have no one breathing down my neck to get other things done, (well most of the time anyway).  I am also very focused when I work on something.

Still, that's very quick - especially since you painted it as well!

Just re-read this. 2 Days!! Apart from the fact that it's a great looking building that is seriously fast!
Lovely stuff.
