Templars Foot Sergeants
« on: April 01, 2014, 07:50:23 PM »
28mm Templars are on the go ATM. Go together really nicely.  nice poses too!

I have "campaigned" them up a bit

Next phase, Block painting and painting on crosses. The flag is made out of Tomato puree metal tube (tooth paste type)

Little bit of "touching up", then chainmail, "dusting", Varnish and done.

Finished, all but a tad of flocking. These figures from Fireforge are an absolute dream to paint. Hope I have done them justice

Spearmen

MAA

The Foot Knights

If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

Great job in adding wear and tear on the minis!

Have you tried using washes to bring out detail? Block painting can sometimes leave the minis looking a bit flat. Some dark brown wash could really bring these alive a lot more and doesn't take too much time. Another efficient way is to use "dipping" in wood stains or similar wargaming products like Army Painter shades. Bit messy but they also protect your minis quite well with and added gloss coat before final varnish.

Beautiful work. Nysse, look further down, the figures have indeed been washed, quite effectively too.
