Wild West Exodus vehicles, anyone modifying them?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone is modifying the Wild West Exodus vehicles for 28mm?

The figures look great till you realize they are 35mm and not really compatible with most of the miniature ranges. But with a little work something like this:

Cover the head with green stuff and poof you have a decent walker.
Or this, though it may be too big IHMN but might work for VSF:

Land dreadnought anyone?

Anyway I am leery about ordering them since I have not seen them personally but has anyone picked on out and handled the model are they too clunky for 28mm?
