Dux Britanniarum Raiders Advanced Orders
« on: 07 April 2014, 07:07:16 AM »
Hi all,

I know that some of you have been waiting to known when The Raiders supplement for Dux Britanniarum will be released.  The good news is that we'll be launching it at Salute this weekend and we're now taking advanced orders.  You can read all about it here:
 http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=2622

In a nutshell, advanced orders to overseas customers will be posted this week, to UK customers they'll be sent a week today, immediately after Salute.  Advanced orders will get a free PDF sent on Monday the 14th as well.

Cheers

Richard

I can safely say you won't be sorry. DuxB on it's own was already superb and now with Raiders it will be 'complete'

It's the campaign side that's peaked my interest.

Roughly though how many men a side is a game?

That would be great to know as I've read a post on a particular Blog about using Dux Britanniarum for a campaign system for the Wars of the Roses/Late 15thC warfare.

Guys,

A British army is 43 figures, a Saxon army is 37, Pictish is 38, IIRC. If you play a campaign, you get individuals reinforcements or units if you win raids/battles. Individuals add to existing units till they get too big, whole reinforcement units are 4 or 6 men each. By the end of a campaign you might end up with about 60 mini's per side.

Hope this helps,

M
