Who made my Ripley 'Alien' Walker / Loader
« on: 31 May 2014, 07:25:39 PM »
I'm about to sell an old figure of Ripley in the classic Alien Walker / Loader but I have no idea who made it!

I do know its not the Reviresco one as Ripley is moulded into the loader body and the only markings on the base is FO and OU in very small letters.

I have had this model (no box) years and years and years by the way...

I also have a small cat figure that could possibly go with this rather than the Asterix set in the Fantasy board!

TIA
Andrew

It may be the Leading Edge one.  They did a licensed Aliens range.  There are a couple of photos of that Power Loader (and the cat) here, along with the rest of the range:

Im not 100%, but the odd bend in the knees of the pilot suggest to me that this is the official Leading Edge model.

Most kind.

Going by the pictures and a bit of research (on the cat) it looks like the Leading Edge on  :)

That's definitely the Leading Edge Power Loader. I've owed a few in my days. The box set came with the cat and four remote sentry guns, which didn't even make it into the theatrical release. I believe there's a scenario in the board game that uses them though.

100% the leading Edge one, but you do have to wonder for an officially licensed product, how unhappy would Ms Weaver and her agent have been over that sculpt!
