28mm Miniature Scale Comparison
« on: 29 July 2014, 02:43:55 PM »
Does anyone have a picture, photos, etc. on how Steve Barber's 28mm Napoleonic Naval figures and Newline Designs 28mm Napoleonic Navel figures match up to the 28mm figures from Old Glory's British Marines, Victrix Napoleonics, Perry Figures, Front Rank, Warlord Games Napoleonics, Brigade Games Napoleonic figures, etc. and to each other.

I would like to purchase a number of these figures from both Steve Barber and Newline Designs but have never seen either in person. I own a variety of the other figures mentioned and would like to fill out some holes in my Napoleonic line of figures.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,

Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

I do not know about all of them but I had a lot of front rank and wanted to mix perry and vitrix. I found vitrix to skinny for my taste and much smaller than frontrank. Perry is, I suppose, more realistic then front rank (front rank are a little bit chubby ) and also somewhat smaller but personally I love the Napoleonic range from frontrank and I've decided to not mix any others in. The ranges of fronrank are also very vomplete (with the exeption of prussian)

This is a good site for 28mm Napoleonic's size comparison.

The link shows Front Rank and others for size girth comparison.

Go back to home and then select a period ie Napoleonic then click on a different manufacturer for other comparisons.

Brittania  Naval figures are on the large size, in my opinion they will dwarf most others but are  very nice miniatures in their own right

Don't forget Brigade games British navy figs ether. I believe they are from Mr. Hicks.
