WotC SW Krayt Dragon: I need a 28mm scale comparison
« on: 29 May 2009, 11:09:35 PM »
I was thinking of buying this creature from the WotC Bounty Hunters for an upcoming Pulp Sci-Fi game.

But does anyone know the size? How does it compare against a 28mm figure for example?

I believe that base is 7 cm across. A 25mm figure could easily sit on the creature's back, in other words.

That's actually pretty decent looking mini for WoC SW mini. I got a few of those monsters (not the Krayt though) for use with my collection of Grenadier SW figs. The scale difference doesn't matter with monsters, they just look even better when bigger than Grenadier humanoids. The Rancor is pretty hefty one!

If you are looking for generic monsters, then the Krayt is nice looking, but quite expensive. Rancour also. The thing is that they are actually quite useful in the game.

The Boma, Massif, Reek and Acklay can be found really cheaply. Under $2. I like the Reek figure myself. It will replace the Krayt for you at a small fraction of the cost.
