Khurasan releases 18mm Marlburian British
« on: 20 November 2014, 07:01:51 PM »
We are very pleased to release the latest army for our War of the Spanish Succession range, the British.  Arguably the best troops to fight in the war, that nation also had the distinction of providing the best commander, one of the great captains of history.  (The British did not actually become "the British" until about halfway through the war, but we use that designation for convenience sake.)

Available sets are:

British high command (the Duke of Marlborough wearing his gaiters, and two other general officers)

British cavalry command

British cavalry

British infantry command

British musketeers

British musketeer "out of step" pose (one pose with left foot forward)

British line grenadiers

We also have a set of British field artillery but it seems getting that painted slipped through the cracks!

Sculpted by Mike Broadbent, painted by Rafa.  Available now, at the link below.  Next up will be the rest of the Bourbon Spanish, followed by the Austrians.  After the Austrians we will alternate between minor powers and filling in more troop types (like dragoons, guards and more grenadier variants) for the major powers.

Lovely figures - would these be suitable for the '45 Jacobite Rebellion as well?

Not if historical accuracy if a factor : British uniforms did change between 1715 and 1745, the most noticeable evolution being the addition of lapels to the coat.
