Musketeers Series 2 and nostalgia

You had to mention 'The Singing, Ringing Tree' and now I have to book therapy.  Definitely some deep GRU plot with the East German film producers to scar future generations of NATO manpower for exploitation when the tanks came over the Inner German Border.... !

I was watching some of the Robinson Crusoe episodes on You Tube over Christmas. Happy days!

Yes, THAT was a very disturbing programme; there was a lot of euro tv nonsense about though - I have vague memories of Zeppos and something involving partisans and a train. The one that really annoys me is a series about two postage stamp sized countries who are going to be united by a roysl wedding but end up at war because their two spies don't want to be out of a job. Saw it once and remember it still.

The missing episode of Flashing Blade lacks the swashbuckling action of the rest of the series.

It's quite clear that the Spanish marksmanship hasnt improved over the years and that the Musketeers have inherited de Ricci and Guyots ability to hit anyone with anything at any range. At least there is a nod to reloading - unlike in Flashing Blade when simply cocking the hammer back did the job. Still - does it matter? It's a great riot of fun and you don't get much floppy hatted swashbuckling mayhem on TV so roll on Friday night, d'accord?

I just had a very enjoyable weekend going through Season 1 via Itunes. A lot of fun and much better than I expected.

The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Musketeers #1 and #2 has been much the same, albeit sadly missing the Cardinal.  Trying not to worry too much about the musket ranges and accuracy...

Even here at the very end of Europe we see, or better, seen those tv series.
And the musketeers s01 was very nice indeed.
I wil certainly enjoy seing series 2.

By the way, the 2 or 3 films of the 3 musketeers with Michael York where very nice too.

I'm currently working my way through season 1 and thoroughly enjoying it.  Bought the whole season for $12 on Amazon here in the states.
