Across the Dead Earth weapons?

Does the Across the Dead Earth PA rule set contain rules for more archaic weapons such as bows, swords etc.? I would also be interested to know if rules for horses and cavalry are covered as well.

The rules do include bows, plus all types of melee weapons (several types of swords, spears, etc.)  There is a faction in the background which appears to use only archaic weapons, the Forest-kin.  No rules for horses yet but they may appear in the future.

Thanks. Is there an element of character creation in the rules, i.e. can you make your own gangs/factions/squads or do you have to use the ones designed by the writer?

Nope  you dont have to use the official pre generated gangs. The game is set up for you to go to townand design your own gangs.
