Thank you! I have wanted the filling station for some time now and decided to get it finally. With postage to the UK it all came just about to £50 but nice service and dialogue from the guy, 9 days shipping time so all very reasonable. The difference so far from other MDF kits I have put together is that the kits  (apart from the dumpsters which was a freebie) the parts are not on a sprue, they are already cut out so you don't have to do it yourself and very nice and smooth, but you have to download the instructions from the site. In this day and age, not a problem. Might get some time to start the filling station today  lol

A few bits and bobs have been added, the filling station is about halfway done, will post when done.

Obie and The Scarlet Shade investigate the new card household appliances (Worldworks) and the suspicious set of dumpsters (DLCD).

Deep in the woods (Products for Wargamers), something sinister is stirring, The Scarlet Shade and Obie are on the case.

From his perch atop the streetlights (DLCD) The Scarlet Shade is protecting HIS city.

Obie inspects the new petrol station.

Obie ventures inside, strangely quiet and abandoned.

Even the toilets are vacant, where did everybody go????

This is the Filling Station from DLCD, a very nice kit but it took me ages to get paint on. My cheap and nasty acrylics just seemed to get soaked up, so I had to put on up to three undiluted coats, especially the white seemed to go on for ever and ever!!!! Highly recommended as it's a lot of bang for your buck. I am in two minds of painting the base black or not, but think not as I've already glued the building & weather board down... can't be bothered.

Demo's makes some nice kits at good prices.  I have a bunch of their buildings and just put together some of their ruins which are waiting to be painted.  It pays to spray prime them first, it cuts down on the paint absorption.

Really think I might invest in some of these buildings eventually, they look quite nice!  Good work on these.  :)

I totally agree, their kits are very nice indeed. I ordered the Filling Station and a 10 pack streetlights, he threw in a dumpster pack for free to mitigate the shipping cost to the UK ($24) which was a very nice touch. I had been looking at the filling station for a long time and the overseas shipping is really the only obstacle I can see for buying more of their kits.

Thank you :)! The difference I found between Sarissa and DLCD is that their kits "feel" quite differently in viscosity. The Sarissa is "hard" wood while most of the parts for the filling station felt quite soft, and I think the Sarissa was easier to paint as it seemed to soak up less paint than the DLCD but all in all, very affordable kits and they can fit into several genre's so bonus for that.
