No, horse, rider and shield are 3 separate pieces.

Thanks for answering so promptly Cubs  8)

Brilliant! Even more scope for converting than I had hoped for! Two copies of WI it is then- or three!  :)

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but this figure is only available when you take out a subscription.  :( The De Montfort figure is available when you buy a single issue.

Thanks all.

I love that red! Any chance of a receipe?

I just realised today my previous answer wasn't overly helpful. What I do find with bold colours is that it's easier for me to start with the main midtone as my base (sometimes it needs a couple of coats for proper coverage) and then add shade and highlights to that, rather than going from dark to light in a traditional layering technique.

For those wanting a figure and who can't get to shows, all I can recommend is to contact Dan at WI and ask if there's a back door. I assume they will have a stash of models cast up and will use them until they run out, but who knows?

Sadly my attempts to mollify the staff of Wargames Illustrated came to nothing as Dan and Wayne steadfastly stood their ground- the mini will only be available at Crisis and Historicon.

Fair enough really as it will certainly attract people to the WI stand at these shows..... the only problem I can see being is that anyone interested in taking out a subscription and getting the free mini is going to wait until one of these shows. I won't be at Crisis and certainly not Historicon so I'm hoping to persuade someone to take out a subscription on my behalf(?).

Any volunteers please?

Darrell.

At Crisis, that's good news! I'll attend the show and till then I have plenty of time to think about a subscription. And maybe the Euro will perform a bit better then ...  8)

:? I will be in the North West during Historicon. I really would like to get ahold of that model. Enough that I would get a WI subscription for it. (but I will not be at any of the shows this season)
