There's such a classic, timeless charm to that photo of the Shire. I feel transported.
"When to keep awake against the camel's swaying or the junk's rocking, you start summoning up your memories one by one, your wolf will have become another wolf, your sister a different sister, your battle other battles, on your return from Euphemia, the city where memory is traded." - Italo Calvino

Meaning 'fire!'?
Nice painting James. I like the fact they've all got little playing cards on their sleeves  ;) (7 of clubs anybody?)

It's a nice close match too, which is always enjoyable for everyone but the participants  :D

The Hobbits are from various manufacturers.
From left to right - Copplestone, Hobby Products (Metal Magic), Hobby Products, Reaper, Copplestone, Copplestone.
Most of the old Hobby Products figures are slowly becoming available again from Midlam Miniatures.

The cannon is absolutely beautifully weathered and the iron looks real

Love all the figures but it's the gun that steals the show for me
