Very nicely done. First time I've seen 'billowing' chutes done in this way and the canisters are great too.

  it did occur to me too when I'd finished sculpting it.
Sorry ,I didn't mention I'd sculpted it(never crossed my mind no one made one so I did  )
As for production it went to Simon and Mick at 1st Corps miniatures.at Partizan to be accurate. They've since commissioned a parachute being gathered in which via a British para connects to an open drop canister a bit of a homage to the old airfix 1/72 para's Mick had as a kid.(dropped off last Friday)both chutes and hampers and canisters will be added to the airborne ranges.they didn't ask for it in fact I'm supposed to be working on their Indian range,but this popped into my head in the middle of sculpting lamellar.
I did it to go with my pulp.(thats why I haven't posted it in the ww2 topics.)Simon gave me a casting on Friday and I threw some paint at it on Sunday.,and here it is .

Again all me,it's just one I knocked up when I needed a motorcycle rider on foot.It's the first figure I grabbed out of the cupboard.normally I just grab the chap in the bobble hat and orange anorak,he's only there for a sense of scale.

Glad you like it. I've just got to finish a sea plane conversion. Then I'll add a new topic of bits I feel would work for pulp from my own sculpts ( mainly because most of my pulp stuff is from bits I've made ,and not some ego trip! More of a case I've got a spare casting and it's just there mixed with 'what if I just?'. )
If anyone feels it would be helpful,that is.Otherwise it would just feel like preaching to the converted .

  I more or less did! I was intending on air brushing the chute l(I couldn't be bothered to set the thing up)so I wet brushed light grey and off white over a grey undercoat (most of the undercoat grey is still in plane sight)it took roughly fifteen minutes .
The rest is just knowing when to say "sod it that'll do"as everyone gets to that point where you think if I just add a bit more(that's the point to say "sod it")
The hampers were dry brushed with sand yellow over the grey undercoat then a wash of dark flesh tone ink,then thirty seconds under a hair dryer,and a quick line of neat dark flesh tone ink in the gap around the lid and hinges.job done.total time including basing forty minutes (hair dryer is a speed painting must)
As I said more or less thrown at it l
