Movement Trays for Zombies
« on: April 22, 2023, 06:52:24 PM »
I was wondering if anyone used movement trays for individually-based zombies and what type they used. Is it possible to avoid a regimented look?

Think loose order or skirmish trays will work best.

I like these kinds of skirmish trays for that kind of horde application.

My AR:SE RULES…ie AKULA’s Rules: Skirmish Edition… had individual movement for zombies … based individually… (within activation range) ie sight/smell/noise towards the source … but also had Horde bases… ie up to 50 zombies on an unstoppable vortex of death around 10cm across…  that worked fine for up to 500 zombies on a table in a game with up to 8 players.

The skirmish bases will work.  War Bases also does custom MDF bases so it might be worth an email to them with exactly what you are envisioning.

They are fun  lol

Thanks all. I was thinking of Akkie's horde bases and rules when I posed the question, but I doubt I've got a tenth of his zombies so movement trays are more practical. Thanks Grumpy for the suggestion, think I'll go with them.

Glad to be of help. Several companies make similar bases so you have options. That said, I found Warbases to have good quality, fair prices and good customer service which is probably why I thought of them first.

The other The Walking Dead game (not TWD:AOW) had herd bases (five figures).
