Thanks for all your input chaps, I like the look of the Warlord Sherman Tank Crew so will wait for those to be produced. Hopefully the rest of the films characters are in the pipeline too.
On a similar note - what Corgi Tiger tank would work for the Sherman to come up against ? I think I read somewhere that the Tiger in the film was a converted Russian T34 (I don't fancy trying to convert a diecast though !)

Yes it was and they put the right sized turret mock up on it so it looks rather silly, as you can clearly see here

It was supposed to be a Tiger I wasn't it? Corgi do a 1:50 Tiger I but in a different paint scheme (I think).

The Corgis are very hard to get now though and can be quite expensive.

the actual us tanks used in kellys hero's are std m4a3 75mm shermans fitted with the 76mm gun from the later t23 turret, the Yugoslavs did the conversion after ww2.
the tiger was based on a t34 chassis and quite good too
