Dealing with Warbands of different Experience levels

I had a really good opening game last night, compared to my opponent. I went up 3 levels to his 1 - which instantly got me to thinking:

How do you deal with Warbands of differing experience levels? What if this happens 3 more times in a row with this same opponent, or I get 3 more games in while he gets zero, or I meet a new opponent for the first time?

Bloodbowl had rules for differences, as did Mordheim, I believe? I searched the Frostgrave rulebook last night after the game, but didnt see anything in this vein.

How do you handle this?

We've mostly played multiplayer games which possibly affects it but we've still never really seen an issue. With the focus being on treasure etc we've found the Wizards level hasn't impacted the winner that much.

It's left up to you to decide what's a fair fight and make any campaign based allowances you'd like.  I can't see a few wizard levels having a big impact on things though, you can still only improve a spell/stat once per game now matter how many levels you get.

The biggest imbalance I can see happening is early campaign and based on material rewards rather than XP as some soldiers do simply outclass others, and the impact of that should diminish as the campaign progresses on.

I think that the easiest solution is to play multiplayer games. If you have a 3- or 4-player game, it is likely that the most powerful wizards will get tag-teamed.
