Help needed to make Baron Ironblood
« on: 28 November 2008, 01:10:30 PM »
Hello all,

Feeling suitably inspired by some of the recent Red Shadow threads I am going to bash on with rank and file Shadows. But I will need something else to be working on for light relief

But I need some help……

I was going to make a Baron Ironblood mini and though that Artizans Dr. Klomp (PLP047) would be a good base figure to start with, seen here:

http://www.artizandesigns.com/details.asp?code=plp047

Now I can probably manage to re-sculpt the head OK but would like to do a hand swap on him to give him an Uzi.

Can anyone suggest a donor Mini that I could get a nice right hand holding an Uzi from?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Lazy tyke!

Uzi? Not in keeping, MP40 would better suit, (remember that Action force figures were mini action men and the shadows carried a mix of WWII weapons) but your call.

Donor figure... well you're onto the artizan site so go take a peak! ;) If you're really sold on uzis then E4M miniatures will be the perfect option as the figures are only £1.25 each.

Alternatively TAG weapon packs?

No I mean not in keeping with me! ;)

(Don't make me look for the Major's code sheet now!).

Ok ok UZI's are cool but overrated.

Kev's got some new weapons too:

Hello all,

Thanks for the suggestions.

I had forgotten about EM4 and they have a couple of minis that look promising (and cheap), althought one of them is out of stock at the moment.

I had a fairly extensive dig through Artizan but could not see anything suitable...

Commander Vyper, was there soemthing on the site you thought might work, all I could see was lots of pistol hands.

Cheers

Which site mate?

I would have expected TAG to do an uzi blister pack and Kev's just brought out mac tens and SA 80's so they would help I'm sure. With regards to E4M the 'suits' have Uzi type autos and the corporate guard could be useful too.

Hello,

sorry I had meant the Artizan site when I asked if you had seen something.

Thanks for reminding me about EM4. I have already placed an order with them for a couple of minis with a hand and gun I think will work, plus a few other bits I fancied. I am never sure you can have too many auto sentry guns ;)

I am scared of going onto the Artizan site though, it is going to cost me dearly....

Cheers
