Mr Vampires Frostgrave excretions
« on: 20 November 2015, 05:04:53 AM »
The first thing I realized was I needed to paint a supply of war band members to bolster what I have.

First up a stock of archers.

I painted them so they are easy to identify as individuals despite being clones.

Next a selection of some knights.

Some of these very old lead figures are great looking models.

Next some Templars.

They look familiar.

Next a couple more Templars and some Infantrymen.

The one with the hood is a new favorite of mine.

Then a couple of Thieves and a Treasure Hunter.

The treasure hunter was a tough paint because of the "soft" detail on the old lead.

First two war bands

The Elementalist (sons warband)

Archers & Infantrymen at the back, apprentice in red, Gondolf the Purplish Grey and a knight.

The Enchanter

Pigsey the thief, Fatty Blades the thug, Dooby the apprentice, Beardandorf the wizard in the back row, then Jalapeno the treasure hunter, Barrygon the ranger and Blakey the apothecary at the front.

The new eastern themed warband is shaping up well.

This one is going to be all about the eyebrows.

Still haven't worked out the finer details yet.

Wow, amazing collection of old lead you have there, it looks great.
I have that apprentice figure, it looks just right (especially the teddy bear).

Where did you get the purple, hooded and cloaked guy with the greatsword?

The purple, hooded and cloaked guy with the greatsword is an old Ral Partha miniature: 02-355 Wizard with Runesword.  But you can call him Barry.
