My Late War Fallschirmjäger Platoon
« on: 08 December 2015, 09:48:02 AM »

Over the last couple of weeks I have been researching and painting a late war Fallschirmjäger Platoon to use for Normandy gaming.
I have used a mixture of 1st Corp miniatures and the excellent plastic box set from Warlord Games.

I have painted the soldiers up in Sumpfmuster 44 camo jackets and with equipment in a mixture of Luftwaffe and Army colours.

Lots more photos and organisational details on my Normandy Blog at : http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Normandy/German-Paras-on-Parade

Smart, I haven't seen that basing style before, how do you attach them to the bases? Nice figures, I bought a box of the Warlord ones this weekend, best get on with them.

These are Sally 4th Clear Perspex bases.

Figures are glued on with Superglue. It makes a great bond on Perspex. Put a dab on feet, touch on paper to remove excess and hold for 10 seconds.

Very cool stuff.
I also love transparent bases, however I prefer drilling bases to mount metal figures with pins

Yes, it is very easy to put a pin in our bases if you want to.
I started off pinning figures but now only do it for figures with very extreme poses.
