15mm Science Fiction - Painting up my armies!
« on: 11 February 2016, 01:29:12 PM »
So after some years of having Fireteam Andromeda out, I'm slowly getting back into painting 15mm science fiction miniatures as work begins on the next ruleset for science fiction games. To that end I needed to paint even more miniatures and here's the first.

This is a Mullo AFV from The Ion Age line of miniatures and I really like the look of it; it's a big brute and has a nice sci-fi look to it; it doesn't look like any modern vehicle that I know of, but isn't so "out there" that it becomes ridicolous!

Next up in the painting que is some battlesuits with swords, because... well, sometimes you just need to paint some big old space knights!

There is a new release out now from the Ion Age.Very tempted to get some.

The big battle suits are nice too.Looking forward to seeing your take on them.

And here we are - some Duxis Battlesuits from The Ion Age; sword and board still has it's place in far flung futures... especially when you back it up with a big battlesuit!

Unfortunately the white got on a bit too thick for the close-up pictures; had a lot of trouble getting my whites to a good consistency as well as painting over white primer for the first time in a very long time. But I think they do look the business on the table, which is what really matters.

Well done on getting the Blue and white to work together, I've found they are not easy colours to combine when painting usually! Ion age do some very cool retro figures, still want to get my hands on those wheeled IFVs!
