Hello all

I am the Weasel. Just stumbled across this forum as I was searching for images of steam ships.
I am a miniature hobbyist painting and gaming in the Los Angeles area. Been in the hobby for about 7 years now, though admittedly 5 of those was in Warhammer 40,000, as those were the most abundant models in my area. The army I ran was heavily influenced by historical sources.
More recently I have gotten into doing some historical and pulp gaming, mainly AWI and Old west. I have budding collections of WWII, Pirates, French Indian War, and ACW, but no one to play with as of yet so those stay rather fallow. I am also hoping to do some Darkest Africa, Great War, and Napoleonic era gaming.
My forte in gaming has always been the painting side. I enjoy the research and experimentation of creating these tiny worlds.
For adventure credentials, I spent quite some time aboard a Windjammer, and lived in Kenya for two summers. Kinda wished I'd remembered to call myself something like Mzungu instead of my usual Weasel. Habit I guess.
I should stop before I ramble too much. Looking forward to exploring these forums!

I think you'll find that most of us got into 28 mm wargaming through similar channels

Been browsing around and this forum does indeed rock.

Hope to post some photos of some of my stuff soon— where does that go: in the gallery, or according to the subject? In any case, It will be up on Monday at the soonest, as I am out of town right now, and couldn't bring all of my models with me.
