Beautiful, subtle work on those Front Rank figures Malcolm  :-*

Against another barnstorming, cinematic scene from one of the masters of fantasy painting and modelling  :o

Very different, but both really well done.

I agree with the Captain, a superb match and difficult choice

I was unsure about the Asgard minis until I'vs seen your orcs painted. Now I think they are a bargain for their cost. Bravo !

Me too, is that a grenadier Orc champ as well? Love your pj on the chaos dragon. Could we see some close ups of that when you are allowed to please?

Thanks! Yes, the Jes Goodwin orcs he did for the Asgard range are still my favourite orc miniatures of all time. They are quite tiny for todays standard, but meticulously detailed and full of sinister character and emanation. Painting can be a chore due to all those tiny details, buckles and armour pieces. And yes, they are a bargain.

If you mean the tall one slightly behind the front rank, it's a Nick Lund orc champion he did for the Chronicle range. My Asgard champion could be better seen on the following alternative picture standing on the right. The chaos dragon is one of Grenadier's "Dragon of the month"-series, painted in oils. A wonderful miniature, finely crafted and full of expression. I will do some new pictures in near future.

I really must paint up my Asgard orcses. And buy then buy some more from Viking forge, along with some more dwarfs. My favourite dwarf range which is saying a lot seeing as they are one of my least favourite generic fantasy races.
