Taking Apart Pixar Cars Happymeal Toys
« on: 10 May 2016, 04:38:48 AM »
Asking as many fellow gamers on this very board have showcased using these toys as Fallout scenery - did you bother taking them apart and stripping out the little pull-back-and-let-go motors? And if you did, what kind of screwdriver did you use? It seems to be a weird triangular one I have never seen before. Thanks.  :)

I have taken similar apart. What works for me is either a narrow flat head screwdriver or when the 'screw' is slightly larger, one prong of my narrow nosed pliers.  Where there is a will, there is a way. On one occasion when the 'screw' refused to budge I hacksawed through it.
Hope this helps.

Use your Dremel Tool to drill the screw out... I also do this on Matchbox cars to drill out the "rivet"...

I bought a set of triangle headed screwdrivers - not as expensive as most of the toys I use them on.
