Numbering Blood Bowl Team
« on: 29 May 2016, 12:22:46 PM »
Hello
Started to play BB over 20 years ago.
Im not playing anymore but from time to time im painting some for collecting.
Target is for some day in the future to have all gw 3rd teams painted. lol...maybe i will finish when retired
So the plan is to have always to have a full team.
Plan is to give them numbers.. Just looks cool.
Now a bit stupid question..
Which player should get wich number...who carrys the one for example...star player? Blitzer?
What is a typical number for a lineman.  I know this sound stupit but by organizing the teams it caused really trouble...even thinking to collect full full teams...in case of humans 22 possible minis...?
Dont know if anybody understands my problem but i would give all teams a logical appearence...somehow i think a skaven blitzer should have the same number like a human one...
By the way still looking for a a lot of 3rd minis...just pm me
Kind regards
Florian

I always start with the big guy as #1, then do the positionals, then the linemen. It's not exactly the same in each team that way (different number of positionals), but I find it gives some consistency.

I give the dumber (yes, usually the big guys) the first numbers as they can't count high (so 1-4), then the glammy blitzers, and then everyone else.

I think of it as a football team where "1" is usually the goalie, the international players get low numbers, and then all the other numbers are mixed up. I don't think there's a wrong way.

Usually something  along these lines:

1-2 Throwers
3-6 Catchers
7-10 Blitzers/Slayers/Wardancers/Chaos Warriors etc
11-19 Linemen
20-26 Black orcs/Saurus/Blockers

Then, for big guys, use a suitable number that hasn't already been used (there's usually one or more, as not every team has/needs every position).

Hi,

I usually do:

1-9 linemen
11, 12, 13... blitzers
21, 22, 23... throwers
31, 32, 33... catchers

Starplayers and big guys have no numbering as they're recognizable by the miniature itself.
