Lovely!

I have never thought about adding a red to flesh for lips! The effect is very subtle but brilliant!
Don't think I can manage the eyebrows though! Even with the biggest goggles on I can't see that well.
Love the coat.
Cheers Malcybogaten!
Because the colours more match the skin mate, you don't need to be that accurate. For example I was trying to do both eyebrows the same and fluffed it up. I think it's now given her a quizzical look. "Oh....is that a big f@#k off werewolf over that's going to chew my head off?"
The coat was fairly quick. A base coat of GW Memphiston Red applied in a few watered down layers to give a nice even coat. Wash with a mix of GW Doombull Brown/Abaddon Black with some Nuln Oil just to break the surface tension of the paint and let it flow properly. Then once that was dry, use the same mix and 'glaze' that into the shadows of the coat. Wait until each layer is dry(use a hair dryer to quicken the process) and apply another layer of glaze deeper into the recesses than the last layer. The good part of 'glazing', is you don't have to be accurate or don't need to use a small brush. Once your satisfied with the shadows, use GW Blood red mixed with GW Blazing Orange for some highlights, finishing by adding some white to the previous mix to highlight the highest points or edges. Once that's dry glaze the whole coat with watered down GW Blood Red a couple of times to bring all the colours together.
I know that sounds long winded but the glazing is actually really quick! I paints the whole model in a couple of hours!
Very nice, I love the colors, and atmosphere in the photos. The Statuesque figures are so fun to paint.
I've done the 'red +flesh' for natural lips for quite a while- definitely better than accidentally turning a nice lass into a woman of ill repute.
It also works for nipples when you're trying to capture that ill repute look, by the way. At least that's what a friend told me.
Thanks Doctor!
I'll need to remember that when I paint my 70's prostitute cast for 7TV!

Very nice work Andy.
A blue eyed babe indeed.
Good luck with the house move!

Thanks Capt!
I still need to sell mine first!

I imagine now, with current climate, that I may struggle with that part!

Excellent paint on a very nice mini! I don't know why but I particularly like how the flashlight turned out.
LB
Thanks Marianas!
The flashlight and anything that's supposed to be metal was painted GW Dawnstone Grey and washed with GW Nuln Oil, then highlighted up to GW Skull White.
Lovely painting. The red coat is excellent and I love how the cap and eyes tie in together. And those boots look *really* realistic. How did you do these exactly
Ta Malebolgia!
The boots/gloves were just painted GW Doombull Brown, then washed with GW Nuln Oil. No highlights or anything!
" I've left myself out a small painting kit and a couple of minis" and a load of trees and scenery!!

very nice paint job mister
Cheers Svenn!
This is all I have left in my 'toy' room!

Thanks very much to everyone else!
