The battle was glorious. The timing of events conspired to help "us" survive. It could have so easily gone the other way, with both wizards down for the count, and no longer able to attack the wraith. He, the wraith Ghrusoq ("Qurosh'g" the god of flies, plagues and calamities, to his minions), would have continued to summon Balogim (high quality skellies). And, along with the already animated foegim (zombies in the vernacular), simply wear down and overwhelm the heroes. It was a very near thing, because the destruction of the lich body that the wraith was carrying around on a litter (intending to occupy it, you have to read the story), got burned by a fire spell and the resulting acrid fumes overcame most of the party. The wraith only had a couple of "Hits" left, and the wizards peeled them off, one of which the wraith countered, and, barely surviving, fled the battlefield. Thus no more Balogim were summoned at the opportune moment, to stick the characters as they lay swooned on the floor! Thus is gaming provided with many delicious escapes by the skins on teeth.
