I feel the most difficult part on plastics is to get chainmail arms look about right on the body itself, with clothing it's less of a problem.
I agree with this completely. As well as the actual detail of the chain pattern, the shoulder-joins are sometimes difficult to hide with multi-parts and the way the mail then hangs on the upper arms can look weird if you try to position the arm differently. It's one reason why I try to avoid positioning plastics with the arms pointing upwards (plus it looks silly), but prefer to show the weapons and shields as having weight, drooping downwards slightly.
But at the same time, it is fun to put the models together, they're good fun for converting and kit-bashing and let's face it, they're cheap!
