Pics of Blue Moon's 15mm Brigantine
« on: 05 July 2022, 04:14:59 AM »
Definitely painted and built to a war game table standard. The true age of sale aficionados would be scandalized by my paper sales, but they get the job done. This resin model required a lot of work prior to painting. Considerable flash all over the place. Once that's done, it paints up nice.

Here you can see some bubbles in the resin, which will hand wave away as authentic battle damage.

Looking forward to getting this on the table for a few games of Osprey's "On the Seven Seas", by Chris Peers.  I have already played a land battle, and the core rules are nothing special. You really have to get the ships on the table, and see how well they integrate with those core skirmish rules before you really understand how well the rules work.  Stay tuned!

Great work Warren. A good balance of aesthetics vs practicality and robustness. I’d view any resin bubbles as damage by wood boring shipworms and the like. Looking forwards to seeing it in game (and how the game plays as I know nothing about the Osprey game).

Keep up the good work,
