Thank you Andy. I tried to up my game from the white background.  But it doesn't seem to help me... I guess with regards to subject matter only few things can beat a proper Star Wars scene.  Warhammer 40.000 not being one of them.  :)

It's a great scene Thorbjorn. The only thing that sticks out a bit to me is the shiny edges of the slotta bases. Perhaps a bit more rubble/detritus could have helped conceal them a bit. Apart from that - it's a splendid diorama.
You are indeed, now almost German in your approach :D

Everyone loves an Imperial Stormtrooper though...  ;)

It will be an interesting match  :)

Indeed it will.  Kudos to Weasel for digging out those old  WEG figures.  Top show! lol

Yes, it is almost like these two should meet on the battlefield! I also love the stormtroopers -- great vignette!

No, in 40k he's called Keinrich Hemler. ;)

Dr, your entry really captures the essence of Grim Dark. It gives me the same sense of expansive universe I got when I first opened a Warhammer book. I love the layers of world visible in your picture, as well as the subtle details of the blotchy skin on the large gent sporting the cannon.

And thanks! I have always had a soft spot for the WEG figures; they were the first miniatures I ever painted. In fact, the three rebel troops are from my first set about 25 years ago (repainted of course) ... Some of the figures come from their reissue as Monopoly pieces, and a few are actually re-posed/repainted Micro Machines (I had fun).

Oh! This is difficult one to choose! >:(

Those undead troopers look very gruesome! 8)

A fan of Star Wars and so really enjoy this wonderfully done scene! :-*
