Is Matthew Ward the same Matt Ward that worked (works) for GW and responsible for some of the greatest fluff abominations :? ever committed?
Please, please, please tell me it's not! :?

It is the Matthew Ward that worked for GW; however, I can confirm that he's written a really terrific Frostgrave novel. I was part of the process to make sure that the novel correctly portrayed the setting correctly. Obviously, I'm biased, but considering this is a game tie-in novel, I think most people will be surprised by just how good a novel it actually is.

I have pre-ordered Second Chances, and I would suggest you give Mr. Ward a "second chance"!  ;)

My understanding is that some people were unhappy about how he rewrote some GW canon.  Who cares?  Frostgrave essentially has no canon, so what is there for him to mess up?

He also happened to work on one of GWs best games; Lord of the Rings SBG. I'm more than willing to give him a chance. I haven't read any Frostgrave Tales yet so it might be a good jumping in point.
