Kings African Rifles Standards

I have recently (finally) completed my Brigade KAR and amongst them are two standard bearers. The small amount of info I have managed to find seems to indicate that they did not recieve colours until after the war which leaves me with the dilemna of what to use.

This shows awards after the war also but do you think if I remove the later ones it would work?

Just go with a Union Jack. It was used more for propaganda than anything else.
