Medieval Travel Battle?
« on: 15 January 2018, 03:13:26 PM »
Anyone aware of any* projects that use the Perry Travel Battle components for a medieval game?

*I am aware that LAFer Nic-e has worked up some of the minis and see here for what is possible:

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=105727.0

I bought some of the minis a few months ago as I was intrigued by the prospects for say Agincourt or more probably WotR (though even pondered LOTR and GOT).

Thoughts and suggestions anyone?

(And yes I do know metals are available but I want the fun of converting plastics  :D)

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

And I got all excited that there’d be a useful contribution!  :D

No, not at all. It’s just that my workbench is full as I’m steadily working my way through train, track, structure, scenario bits and minis. The Travel Battle minis are just something to fiddle with on a tray elsewhere while paint dries, etc.  ;)

Two threads have called me out by name now... I'm worried at this rate you'll all notice I never finish anything!

I think the board and terrain could easily have the grids filled in and be used to play 2- 3mm games.

I think with a little work you can use the figures as a basis for anything.
never trust a horse, they make a commitment to shoes that no animal should make.

You could work out your own with 10mm figures and the Portable Wargame

Thanks FD but I like the Perry minis and the prospect of playing around with them  :)
