Figure Identification please
« on: September 07, 2025, 05:24:53 PM »
I found this figure when looking for something else.  He looks as if he has a crown around the top of his helm.

I would like a second one to convert into a foot equivalent figure but have no idea where I got him.  So please does anyone know where I might find him and a suitable caparisoned horse?

King John from Duncan Macfarlane's old miniature company Trent Miniatures. He came on a caparisoned warhorse.

The miniature *might* have come as a freebie with a mag or subscription though it's been a while and my brain might be making this last part up!  :D

I cannot help with the original figure, but if you would be interested in another similar figure (both on foot and on caparisoned horse), then this pack from Crusader Miniatures might help:

I have to admit that the poses might be a bit on the stiff side on these two, but they have the crowned helmets.

It might be worth just getting in touch with Skytrex and asking them -- they use the figure as the title picture for the Newark range so not listing it might be an oversight...

Whilst rooting through my box of unfinished/abandoned stuff I found these . I believe one is the figure you want ( complete with horse). The dismounted and bareheaded figure is the "Salute 2003" figure which I think is Richard the Lionheart, but looks the part.

 Any interest
