Montrose and MacColla.
« on: 26 August 2020, 04:28:14 PM »
Two command bases featuring the royalists Montrose and MacColla. Figures Bicorne, Flags by Flags of War both excellent. Apparently MacColla was a giant of a man, in legend anyway, he stands a bit taller than his companions.
If your reading this Richard aka Captain Blood, the Montrose standard bearer is one of the figures you kindly sent me.

Very nice indeed Craig. Love the Montrose base, and very ingenious with the plaid pistol covers and saddle cloth. Beautiful detailing 8)

Glad one of those figures came in useful. He’s had quite a journey around the country before finishing up in such an important role  ;)

Thanks Richard, you spotted my tartan pistol holders, a little decadant for the Marquess 😂. I'll no doubt find roles for the other chaps as well.

All your comments are much appreciated.

Lovely work matey  :-* :-* :-*

I have to ask, is the image of Charles painted free hand on the banner?  :o

.   No, I would have loved to give it a go though, not enough time though, the lead mountain is growing 😂
Both flags by Flags of War. I might turn the MacColla flag up, I had planned that at first, it should look better.

Well, it's still a "Wow" as the bases look tremendous  :-*

I'm going to have to have a another look at Iain's ECW range of flags :)

Very nice. I do find that that Montrose figure from behind is slightly odd or similar. He doesnt seem have much of a backside!
