Chickasaw Wars
« on: 31 March 2021, 06:34:29 PM »
In the 1730's The French In Louisiana went to war with the Chickasaws. There is not much info out there, especially in English. If anybody knows of any books on these conflicts please let me know. Thank you.

Mark,

No, No, No, I will not let you drag me down another American Indian Wars rabbit hole (I say half-heartedly as I'm already looking at Clearco's Pawnee and Wolf Scouts and thanking goodness one of my pals took on a Tlingit project). Really, FIW, Cherokee Wars, and Seminole Wars is enough.

Bill

(I know very little about this conflict, so will watch for others' informative posts.)

Hey BillK. Ping me your email (I probably have it somewhere, but not handy) and I'll send you something to make you wise.

The Franco-Chickasaw War is one of my interests. Seems to me that if you have mid-18th century Woodland Indians and French, like for F&IW, you have most of what you need to stage this war.
