I was actually quite tempted by that until I saw the 20 Euro p&p for a 35 Euro book to the UK :o

Sadly I'll have to pass :( Perhaps it will turn up at Historex or Amazon next year

Thanks for the tip - looks good.
I like my games like my orange juice: pulpy with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners

I would ask them to confirm the comment

"All books will be delivered with tracking and priority.

Please note as well: Your pledge on Kickstarter covers your reward and shipping fee. The country-specific VAT and other taxes or import fees collected by the local authorities are not included!"

As that suggests postage is not extra on top.. I know that's not "normal" for KS's but its what it says.

I will sit on the fence a while longer and think about it more, but still, shipping cost is still higher than book price even if its part of the KS price.

I just selected the basic book. The confirmation bit then asks for your country and *adds* the p&p to your pledge, so your 35 euros pledge becomes 55 euros (for the UK).

Badly phrased on their part, but technically true, in that p&p isn't charged separately after the campaign.

Given that KistStarter itself takes 10% of the pledge amount as its fee, I wonder if they're front loading that cost onto the p&p charge

They must be. Or it's been an oversight (as has happened before. Especially with first-timers who then find an extra cost they didn't count on.

Thanks for the clarification, I was hesitating the "back" button, but if they can word that part unclearly, then I wonder.

If I had gone "oooh yes please" that next step would have stopped me cold.

I do have some very nice literature related to terrain, I might just stick with that.

If you're looking for new terrain books, there is Terrain Essentials by Mel Bose, which I backed on KS at the time - link.

It was late, but did turn up, and is now available to buy. See this update for details.

Yes that I did on KS as well, the latest book I added to the collection, and agreed, very nice it is to.

I do wish this well with this one but not feeling it the same way.

We backed Mel, we learned a lot from his videos so backed largely as a sign of support. It is a great book and the mini of Mel is a wonderful bonus.

None of that takes away from this Kickstarter of course.
