You could always merge bits from FFofL that you liked e.g.
Jokers & card activation etc.

So which rules did you use? I assume FoL was Fistful of Lead, but I’m now thinking that it wasn’t

I believe they did use Fistful of Lead.
I know Ian likes Western Gunfight rules.
He is himself a prolific writer of Rules,
so I am surprised he hasn't tinkered
with the western set to make them fit
the Franco Prussian war.
