I am flying, I am flying....

You've seen a horse fly, you've seen a house fly, but have you ever seen an archer fly?
There's a reason your mum told you to keep away from the edge.

My archer was "only" pushed an extra 13" into the air...

That spell can be a bit OP when you get a good angle with it, yeah.  The game could really use a spell that lets you anchor figures in place as a counter - or maybe there i sone and I'm just forgetting it.  Been mostly Stargraving lately.

Surely your archer simply pulled out a grapple-and-line arrow and used it to calmly swing away to a new vantage point all Green Arrow/Hawkeye style, right?  :)

Slowfall (Chronomancer) can be cast as a reaction to ignore fall damage. And there's the magic item Ring of Slowfall that lets you do the same.

Parachute effects help, but a spell that actually prevented you from being moved in the first place would be better.  And an "anchor" spell that could be resisted and used on enemy or friendly figs to stop all movement would certainly have a useful role in the game.

Also looks like that spell was removed from 2nd edition - the chronomancer list in it doesn't have it any more.  The ring is still around, though.

I can see the value of having an anchor spell in the game.

Slowfall is a spell in one of the expansion books isn’t it? Into the Breeding Pits, if my memory holds.

Slightly off-topic to my post (which was mainly to get a dated reference in and post a funny pic), but I don't find Push to be OP, most of the time the density of terrain make its potential limited.

Just happened that this one time, and even though I was aware my opponent had push, placing my archer in the open and above the wizard made long-term sense (though not for the archer! lol ), as he was able to get a clear shot at the one model that might have been a problem for me getting the central treasure.

And I'd already decided I was sacking himp post-battle to take a Ranger, so my wizard saved of redundancy pay.  ;)
