Another thanks for the rules modifications link - downloaded and printed and, briefly, perused.  Going to think about something special for Apaches "gone to ground" like better shooting ability than other figures gone to ground.  Clearly, some significant thought and effort went into these modifications. 

Now if I can adjust the die rolling to avoid the 'buckets of dice' I'll really be rolling!  :D

I’m ‘old school’ and quite like rolling buckets of dice 🙂

One other tweak we’ve experimented with that might answer your Apache issue; we limit Firing 4+ to units with magazine rifles (typically 1890+).

Instead, Sharpshooters/Marksmen reroll 1’s when Firing (once), costing +1pt per unit - it gives them an edge but doesn’t unbalance the game.

Simon great mods I look forward to trying them out now that I have a better understanding of Gone To Ground 😀 to me these mods make sense.
