Re: Isandlwana - uVe Musters!

Contrary to what people might think I have not been entirely idle over the holidays!  ;)

https://lohwand.blogspot.com/2021/12/isandlwana-uve-musters.html

Here, uVe regiment musters to receive its bases from the Great King Cetshwayo, played in this instance by moi. Note the new, smaller bases purchased from Uline. The regiment is approximately 2000 warriors strong on 20 bases. In comparison, each company of the 1/24th will have 16 figures plus a few separate NCOs and officers, and will occupy a frontage approximately 2/3rd that of uVe when in extended order (as they will be, per Lord Chelmsford's standing orders.)

The regiment is even now drying, having been modge-podged to their bases. The bases are 3" round plastic labels obtained from Uline, a Canadian shipping supplies company. $115 CAD +/- for 200 labels/bases, next day delivery and Net 30 terms. I like Uline!  8)

I need the round bases for my movement method (inspired by Colditz) but I was worried about keeping the company lines that the Zulus apparently used. I think I've captured it:

umCijo musters before the Great King, Cetshwayo, to receive their bases. Twenty-five bases representing approximately 2500 warriors.

I've already spotted one mistake under the artillery ranges.

And the Induna special abilities are missing.

Re: Isandlwana - Laundry Day "Bloody Spears!" edition

A friend of mine didn't like the name of my rules, suggesting "Bloody Spears!" instead; so I've incorporated that into the title for this latest - and last - tabloid version of the rules.

https://lohwand.blogspot.com/2022/01/isandlwana-laundry-day-bloody-spears.html

I hope this version is more understandable than the last, which was missing some key aspects.
